Champion warming

Move

Turn the internal momentum into an expansion path.

01

The situation

You have a champion who loves the product and an account that could clearly be worth several times what it is today. The expansion is not a question of whether, it is a question of when, and when is the entire game. Ask too early, before the value is undeniable inside their organization, and you spend your champion's goodwill and look like you are reaching. Ask too late, after the budget cycle has closed or the priority has shifted, and the same expansion that was inevitable becomes next year's problem.

02

The cost of doing nothing

Mistimed expansions are the most expensive kind of miss because nothing looks wrong. The account is healthy, the champion is happy, the relationship is good, and the larger deal that should have happened simply does not, quarter after quarter, because the right moment kept passing unrecognized. You do not lose these deals, you just never make them, which is worse, because a loss at least teaches you something.

03

The Yuzu move

This is the purest version of spending at the point of maximum impact. Yuzu reads the buying-readiness signals across the account, the usage crossing the thresholds that historically precede expansion, the new stakeholders appearing, the budget-cycle timing, the champion's own language shifting from using it to depending on it, and it tells you the specific moment when the ask is most likely to land. Not a reminder on a date you picked, the actual moment the account is ready, with the framing the expansion calls for.

04

The outcome

You make the expansion ask when the value is undeniable and the budget is live, the champion says yes because you asked exactly when they were ready to hear it, and the account becomes the multiple it was always capable of being. Timing was the whole deal, and timing is the thing Yuzu is built to read.

Why?

Champion went quiet for 6 days right after pricing, and the new stakeholder from legal has not replied. The shape matches deals that slipped a quarter.
